Chandigarh Kennel Club is a registered body of dog lovers, formed by the eminent citizens of the Tricity with an aim to educate people about upkeep and care of their pets and to promote the ethical breeding conforming to highest level of pedigree and showing of dogs. Chandigarh kennel Club is affiliated to the Kennel Club India and further in alliance with FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale) the largest canine organization of the world. The Club organised its first Pet Show in the year 1982 and it got KCI affiliation the next year.
Chandigarh Kennel Club is a registered organization founded by passionate dog lovers and prominent citizens of the Tricity. The club is dedicated to educating the public on responsible pet care and promoting ethical breeding practices that uphold the highest pedigree standards. It is affiliated with the Kennel Club of India (KCI) and aligned with the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the world’s largest canine organization. The club hosted its first Pet Show in 1982 and received official KCI affiliation the following year.
We are one of the limited Canine Clubs of India, which are permitted to hold All Breeds Show by the KCI, having points enabling the participants to compete for the coveted Dog of The Year Award. On 28 Feb- 1 March 2026, the Club is holding its Platinum Jubilee Show where exhibitors from across the nation and also from neighboring countries are likely to participate. Three Eminent International All Breed Judges on the panel of FCI have consented to Judge the upcoming Show. The club will be holding Beagle, Labrador and Golden Retriever Specialty Shows in addition to two ALL BREEDS CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWS.
The Animal husbandry Department of Chandigarh Administration will be holding free Rabies Vaccination camp as well as stray dog adoption in this event. A heavy footfall of pet enthusiasts and pet industry decision makers are expected in this two day event.
